Description	Captain R.G. "HappyEdwards was assistant general manager of Foundation Maritime Co. Ltd, which operated the Pictou shipyard during the Second World War. Captain Edwards was a ship's master who worked ashore due to being injured in the First World War. He was employed by the International Paper Company when he was assigned to the Pictou yard. He stayed there until the fall of 1943, when the required number of ships had been built and his employers wanted him back to manage a new paper mill in Dalhousie, NB. During his time in Pictou he recorded many events and people for the inhouse newspaper, the Fo'c'sle. (Information from the PHPS member Ron Wallis's book The Story of Pictou's Park Ships.)
